I have to admit, when I typed in the title of this post, I typed in 2021, not 2022. 🙂
I realized today that last year, I didn’t utilize my blog like I had in years past, and I don’t want to do that this year. My new job as a Mental Health Peer Specialist took up much of my time the second half of 2021, as I adjusted to not only helping others, but the amount of people who reached out for help during the holidays. I highly enjoy what I do, though. It’s very fulfilling work for my heart, and people are so appreciative of my help.
My blog will continue to be focused on my own personal recovery journey from borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, and grief, but I will have more to say about diet culture and body image, etc. Not only was the last half of 2021 fulfilling in my career, it really opened my eyes to the source of my struggles with food and weight. That source is decades of having diet culture shoved in my face. I promise I will have a blog post coming out with more on that soon.
Thank you for sticking around while I was gone; I’m glad to be back! ❤
